FWWMUN Nairobi
25 - 28 June, 2026

World's Largest Youth Empowerment Initiative
FWWMUN seeks to bring together future generations of leaders from all corners of the globe to gain first-hand experience in international relations and to produce high-quality resolutions aimed at building the Future We Want.
Now hosted in Nairobi, a city at the forefront of international diplomacy and sustainable development in Africa, FWWMUN offers delegates the opportunity to engage with global issues in a region where their impact is deeply felt — and where solutions are actively being shaped. As the only UN headquarters in the Global South, Nairobi is home to UNEP (United Nations Environment Programme) and UN-Habitat, making it a truly strategic and inspiring venue for young global leaders.
FWWMUN Nairobi begins with a series of workshops led by diplomats, policy experts, and development leaders on Youth Involvement, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and Leadership. Delegates will participate at a high level from the outset, benefiting from the expertise of professionals working directly on the front lines of climate action, urban development, and global cooperation.
Over the years, FWWMUN has held prestigious events at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. Today, it is the largest and most diverse MUN platform for selected youth, with regional editions across all five continents — a global model made possible thanks to strong partnerships with diplomatic missions and governmental institutions.
Nairobi offers a unique and powerful setting for these conversations — a city where innovation meets resilience, and where youth are increasingly shaping policy, entrepreneurship, and community leadership. As a hub of African diplomacy and international engagement, Nairobi provides the perfect backdrop for exploring global challenges through a regional lens, while building cross-cultural understanding and cooperation.
Whether you’re a first-time delegate or a seasoned MUN participant, FWWMUN Nairobi delivers an academically rigorous, culturally immersive, and truly transformative experience. Join students from around the world in a city that exemplifies the spirit of global solidarity and future-focused leadership.
Let Nairobi be the city where your global impact begins.

Welcome to FWWMUN Nairobi
The Future We Want Model United Nations Conference (FWWMUN) will be held at the New York Marriott Marquis and the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel. The Conference is open to high school and college/university students from all countries. All participants must be currently enrolled in an accredited high school or college/university program.
-
High School Delegates: Must be between 13 and 19 years of age.
-
College/University Delegates: Must be between 17 and 26 years of age.
Delegates may register either as individuals or as part of an official delegation. All high school delegations are required to be accompanied by at least one Faculty Advisor (Chaperone). Advisors are strongly encouraged to accompany college/university delegations as well.
Committee assignments will be determined by the Secretariat on the basis of each delegate’s academic level and Model United Nations experience. High school and first-time delegates will be placed in committees designed to introduce participants to parliamentary procedure and United Nations–style debate. Delegates with prior Model United Nations experience, particularly at the university level, may be assigned to advanced or specialized committees requiring a higher degree of preparation and substantive engagement. This structure ensures that all participants are assigned to committees that are appropriate to their background and provide a constructive and challenging learning environment.
FWWMUN Roles
Delegates
Delegates actively participate in all conference events and committee sessions. During meetings, they represent the country assigned to them in their designated committee. Delegates engage in debates, negotiate with other countries, and collaborate on drafting and voting on resolutions that address the committee’s agenda topics. To register as a Delegate, participants must be between 13 and 26 years old at the time of the conference. No prior MUN experience is required for this role, making this conference accessible to both new and experienced students from high schools and universities.
Observers
Observers attend the conference to learn more about the world of FWWMUN without the responsibility of representing a country in a committee. This role is ideal for individuals who are new to Model United Nations and want to gain insight into the procedures and debates of a conference. Observers do not participate in committee discussions or contribute to the drafting of resolutions but can attend sessions and events to observe and learn from active participants. To register as an Observer, participants must be between 13 and 28 years old at the time of the conference.
Faculty Advisors
Faculty Advisors are educators or educational staff members (teachers, professors, etc.) accompanying a group of students. They serve as the point of contact between the delegation and the conference organizers. They are responsible for overseeing their students during the event and ensuring that they follow conference guidelines. While Faculty Advisors may attend conference events like workshops and ceremonies, they must not interfere in the proceedings of the committees. They are only allowed to enter committee rooms with permission from the Secretariat and must remain in the background as quiet observers to avoid disrupting the delegate’s work. Faculty Advisors must be at least 21 years old at the time of the conference and can only register as part of a delegation. Faculty Advisors may only register at a ration of 1 Faculty Advisor per 5 delegates in a delegation, as a minimum.
Individual vs. Delegation Registration
Individual Registration
Students who are taking part to the conference as single individuals (not part of a school, university, or MUN club), can register independently.
Delegation Registration
Groups representing schools, universities, or Model United Nations (MUN) clubs are required to register as delegations. Each delegation must consist of a minimum of five delegates. In cases where the delegation includes minors, the presence of at least one faculty advisor is mandatory. There is no maximum limit on the number of delegates permitted within a single delegation.
Delegations are subject to the payment of a one-time delegation fee, which is charged in addition to the individual registration fees applicable to each participant.
Institutions of higher education or schools based in the host country may benefit from a special registration arrangement. Under this provision, such delegations are exempt from the delegation fee, and faculty advisors are entitled to participate without charge. Delegations meeting these criteria are kindly requested to contact the Secretariat at registrations@fwwmun.org
Deferral Policy
In the event of an inability to attend the conference, the fee paid will remain valid for a period of 24 months, allowing applicants to register for any other FWWMUN conference. For delegations, it will also be possible to request a change of participants in addition to the conference deferral.
Please note that in order to be eligible for a deferral, you must complete the final registration form, which will be sent by email five weeks before the conference. Failure to submit this form by the deadline will result in the cancellation of your application and the inability to request a deferral.
Important Notes
Review carefully the eligibility criteria for each role and ensure that you meet them before registering. Failure to meet the eligibility criteria will result in the cancellation of the application without the possibility of requesting a deferral or a refund. Only registered participants (Delegates, Observers, and Faculty Advisors) are permitted to attend the conference events. External individuals, such as parents, relatives, friends, or partners who are not registered, will not be allowed to participate in any conference activities or enter event venues, nor can book accommodation through us or request invitation letters.
